Charlie Bruin
Acting Managing Director
Charlie Bruin is the CEO for Outsourcing UK Limited Professional Services, which is part of the OSUK Group, a subsidiary of Outsourcing Inc.,Japan.
Veracity is a group company of Outsourcing UK Limited, where Charlie has overall responsibility for a turnover of £150m annually across the group, and which employs 1,300+ people spanning BPO, Recruitment & Staffing and Consulting. It is a leading supplier to the UK Government and the private sector and a fast growing practice in the UK.
In addition, Charlie remains the Chief Executive Officer for Liberata UK Limited, where his successful career has spanned over 20 years.
Amanda Connolly
Director of Corporate Services and Operations
Amanda’s role is pivotal in Veracity’s success. Working with her team, Amanda manages the structures and foundations of Veracity on a strategic level so that they are constantly evolving, improving and interacting with the needs and wants of its employees, clients and the changing world. Her vast range of experience began with a BA Hons in Law and Accountancy, after which she began her twenty year-long career working within the Civil Service, joining Central Government in a variety of roles. From managing Civil and Family Courts in Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service, and then later moving into the Ministry of Justice, Amanda has lived the intricate details that go into the public sector. Within these roles she worked on many aspects including, but not limited to, the design and implementation of reforms in the Justice system, government policy, strategy and change management and departmental governance.
This array of experience alongside her now role within Veracity, means that Amanda has seen both sides to consulting. The experience of clients within the public sector, including their needs and wants, and now within the role of those providing the services. The requirements of her role as Director of Corporate Services and Operations are easily filled by the breadth of her knowledge within her field. She understands what structural changes and adaptations Veracity needs to meet in order to be constantly evolving and improving, meaning that as a whole, Veracity is succeeding for its employees as well as its clients.
Vinay Patel
Director of Finance
Vinay began his career qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in New Zealand. After moving to the UK in 2012 and prior to beginning his role as Director of Finance, Vinay spent ten years working as a consultant for Veracity, eventually transitioning into the role of Director of Finance and Accounting. Within his current role, Vinay is responsible for the financial reporting, creating and setting the strategic vision for the agency, checking and challenging forecasts, liaising with delivery leads and tracking internally how leads are performing. His wide-ranging experience in various roles within Veracity has awarded him the ability to understand the business on a deeper level; familiarising himself with its strengths along with being able to forecast its areas of improvement.
His decade-long experience as a consultant has enabled Vinay to see both sides of the business and understand details that may otherwise go unnoticed by associates and employees within an agency. His experience of both the internal and external workings of Veracity enable him to understand the pitfalls that could be encountered by Veracity’s associates, meaning he’s able to challenge division leads and the actions that go on within the business. His deep understanding of his field, along with his experience, have helped Veracity to become the thriving organisation it is today.
Eugene Kuo
Director of Corporate Advisory
Eugene’s role as Veracity’s Director of Corporate Advisory is the evolution of a vast array of experience within the accounting and consulting industry. Alongside being a Chartered Accountant, Eugene sits on the UK Council for Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, Chair of Young Chartered Accountants, and is a School Governor in London. Prior to starting with Veracity as a consultant, Eugene worked for the Controller and Auditor-General of New Zealand and was a New Zealand delegate to the International Congress of Supreme Audit Institution. The primary focus of Eugene’s role is supporting the full spectrum of success with Veracity’s clients and its parent company, Outsourcing Inc. Taking a hands-on approach to his management of the projects Veracity delivers, Eugene oversees any issues or plans that clients approach the company with. Whether they’re plans they do not have the capacity for, the capability to fix or external professional advice that they need to successfully see them through. Issues such as mergers and acquisitions, financial due diligence, financial advisory, and management consulting work are all part of the services that Eugene helps Veracity provide to its customers.
Outside of this, Eugene’s role within the Senior Leadership Team revolves around managing the day to day operations for his particular division and setting the strategic direction of the company. His deep experience within his field has enabled him to network amongst his industry peers, which supports the growth and constant improvement within his job at Veracity and therefore, the work it delivers.
Andreas Toumazos
Director of Consulting Services, DDaT
Andreas holds a crucial role within Veracity and the delivery of their Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT), and wider services the organisation provides to its clients. His career has so far seen him in a variety of customer-orientated and delivery roles. Beginning with service management and the recruitment side of consulting, Andreas worked his way up to a role building and delivering projects and programmes to central government, looking at end to end solutions. From there he moved further into the delivery, governance and assurance space which is now part of his primary role.
At the core of Andreas’ position, he leads Veracity's Consulting, Advisory and Managed Service portfolio of work, specifically across DDaT, developing and delivering the DDaT function and strategy, whilst working in partnership with our clients to establish the successful delivery of its projects and programmes. He ensures that Veracity’s clients are heard and understood in what they’re aiming to deliver and achieve strategically, making sure that he is present in every step of the way. His experience within all sides of the consulting profession have enabled him to understand the importance of flexible and bespoke solutions and allowed him to create a partnership-focused delivery approach in which the customer’s needs are paramount.
Steve Dyer
Service Delivery Manager
Steve’s experience within the IT sector spans over thirty years, with the majority of his roles focusing on the operational and service delivery side of businesses. Holding an extensive background in the public sector, Steve’s career has involved him working with large outsourcers and global clients including the Ministry of Justice, before joining the team within Veracity as Delivery Manager.
Steve’s job as Delivery Manager is essential to the success of Veracity’s clients. Driving collaboration and working hand in hand with its clients and associates to deliver the key services and outcomes that ensure the success of its customers. Whether that’s interviewing and recruiting potential candidates, monitoring contracts, collecting clear and accurate data, or making sure that the team is meeting all its contract deliverables, Steve’s work within the DDaT space is working through some of the many fundamental tasks that are involved between clients and consultants. Within his role he also helps deliver governance, assurance and continuous improvement across Veracity’s portfolio of work. He commits to understanding the scope of the projects that need to be done, the clients’ expectations and then finding the best people for the job, whilst making sure that Veracity is delivering a well thought-out and thorough client experience whilst maintaining clear communication along the
way.
Victoria Sheldon
Senior Manager,
Corporate Advisory Services
Victoria’s role within Veracity began in early 2019, after moving from Melbourne, where she studied and gained her Bachelor of Commerce with a Major in Accounting and Finance at the University of Melbourne. From there forward she collected an array of impressive accolades, including joining the graduate programme at KPMG Melbourne, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2018 and becoming ‘Big Four Trained’. Victoria continued to gain a range of experience within audit and assurance, specialising in retail, manufacturing, and healthcare. For the first two years of Victoria’s career with Veracity, she took roles within the public service sector at the Department for International Trade and at the Home Office, working within their audits and spending reviews, before finally transitioning into her current role as Senior Manager in Corporate Advisory.
Victoria’s all-encompassing career has ensured that she can deliver the highest quality of work in consulting and financial services. Within her role at Veracity she’s able to meet her clients at whatever stage they’re at within their project and create tailored solutions that provide them with their custom answer. Her experience and knowledge within her field ensures that she is consistently meeting the wants and expectations of Veracity’s valued clients.
Natasha Hook
Operations & Finance Manager
The role of Operations and Finance Manager is essential to both Veracity’s clients and employees. With over twenty years of experience in office managerial and administrative roles, Natasha understands the continuous maintenance that goes into keeping an organisation running efficiently. Bridging the gap between associates and clients, her work maintains the clear communication that is essential within a business. With a background ranging in roles such as Bookkeeper, Office Manager and various other positions, Natasha understands and adapts to all the needs and problems that can arise within an office, making sure that even the smallest issues are handled professionally and quickly. She acts as the central hub to the company’s inner workings and is consistently a point of knowledge for all that are involved within Veracity, making sure that employees have the right answers to the questions that keep the consultancy going. After taking her ECDL in 2001, her knowledge of IT has evolved with the continuous advancements of technology, along with her experience and knowledge within Veracity.
One of the most important parts of Natasha’s role is ensuring that Veracity supplies only the highest quality of associates to its clients. Her thorough knowledge and screening of associates, identifying that all are BPSS checked, means that the work Veracity delivers is of an excellent standard and meets the clients’ needs and expectations.
